FAQ - IceGym

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I keep the water clean without changing it every day?

Maintaining crystal-clear water is simple. We recommend using our IceGym Water Care Kit, which includes a gentle non-chlorine sanitizer and a skimmer net. Because our tubs are designed with high-grade, easy-wipe materials, a single fill can last up to 4 weeks with proper cover usage and basic filtration.

2. Is the IceGym tub insulated enough for the UK winter?

Absolutely. Our tubs feature Triple-Layer Thermal Technology. The outer skin is UV-resistant, the middle is a high-density thermal foam, and the inner lining is heat-sealed. This keeps your water at sub-zero temperatures in the summer and prevents it from freezing solid during a British winter.

3. I’ve never done an ice bath before. Is it safe?

Cold plunging is a powerful tool, but we always recommend starting slow. Begin with 1–2 minutes at a manageable temperature (10°C to 15°C) and work your way down. Note: Always consult your GP if you have underlying cardiovascular issues or are pregnant.

4. How much space do I need for an IceGym tub?

We designed IceGym to be "Apartment Friendly." Our standard model has a footprint of roughly 80cm * 80cm. It fits perfectly on balconies, in small gardens, or even in a modern walk-in shower tray. It’s high-performance recovery without the bulky footprint.

5. How do I actually get the water cold? Do I need a chiller?

You can reach therapeutic temperatures using 10–20kg of ice (available at most supermarkets). However, for the ultimate "Elite Performance" experience, our tubs are Chiller-Ready. You can upgrade to our IceGym Pro Chiller at any time to hit 3°C at the touch of a button.

6. Is it difficult to drain the tub?

Not at all. Every IceGym tub comes with an Easy-Flow Drainage System. Simply attach a standard garden hose to the bottom valve and direct the water into a drain or onto your garden. It takes less than 5 minutes to empty completely.

7. What makes IceGym better than a cheap plastic bin?

A bin isn't built for recovery; it’s built for trash. IceGym is an ergonomically designed performance vessel. It supports your posture, provides superior thermal retention (saving you money on ice), and is made from "Rip-Stop" fabric that won't crack or leak after three months of use.

8. Can I use the IceGym tub indoors?

Yes, provided your floor can support the weight (a full tub weighs approx. 300–400kg) and you have a plan for drainage. Most customers prefer outdoor use for easy filling, but many elite home gyms house an IceGym tub on a reinforced concrete floor or garage.

9. How long should I stay in the ice?

The "Science-Backed Sweet Spot" for metabolic and recovery benefits is roughly 11 minutes per week, split into 2–3 sessions. You don't need to spend 20 minutes shivering; a focused 3-minute plunge in an IceGym tub is enough to trigger significant dopamine and anti-inflammatory hits.

10. What is your warranty and "Peace of Mind" policy?

We stand by our gear. Every IceGym tub comes with a 12-Month Performance Warranty. If there’s a manufacturing defect or a leak, we replace it—no questions asked. Plus, we offer a 30-Day Recovery Guarantee: if you don't feel the mental and physical benefits, send it back.
